Through personal narrative, collaborative partnerships, and material sourced from my environment, I create sculptures, installations, and functional art work.

As a child I spent years living in Nepal and India, places where all aspects of textile making are part of everyday life – the adaptability of spinning and weaving to domestic space, it's portability as a medium, and the use of minimal tools was intriguing and inviting. This reverence and intensive engagement with textiles left a powerful impression and formed my attraction and strong relationship to cloth as a product of value and beauty.

Born of these early experiences, my daily studio practice is rooted in labour and service. I am deeply engaged in the devotion required, the physical effort of repetitive movement, and the patience inherent in the effort textile practices entail. The process itself fascinates me - marveling at intuition, reveling in the inherent decision making of design, and deeply feeling the sense of purpose that comes with industriousness and production. For me, making is life and life is making.
