Yvonne Coopmans
I am the daughter and granddaughter of clever, crafty and resourceful women who loved creating and making things with limited resources.
My mother taught me to knit when I was ten. She also taught each of her six girls to sew, and we were encouraged to make our own clothes.
The urge to make yarn, cloth, and then functional items keeps me thinking, dreaming and searching out new ideas. I also play viola and violin, another outlet for my passion for strings.
