Susan Harvey

Weaving feels like ‘coming home’ and I enjoy every aspect of the process. whether project planning, winding a warp, weaving or the finishing stages, I call it all weaving and find it very satisfying on a personal level.

My looms have changed and evolved over the years. Changes had to be made to accommodate three joint replacements but the end goal throughout was to return to weaving as soon as possible. My looms are a Louet Megado 110 16 shaft compu-dobby and a Louet Spring 90 12 shaft floor loom. I keep them beamed at all times and have another warp waiting in the wings. My practise is to do something weaving related daily.
