Rami Schandall

I came to weaving after decades of serious knitting and design, and after learning to spin. I took a tapestry weaving class first, then weaving on a table and floor loom.

My mother, a prolific maker of all things fibre, had a loom when I was very small. I don’t remember it, but when I began weaving, it felt like I was returning to something intrinsic and familiar.

I am an interdisciplinary creative, I love to work in many media, but weaving is consistently, and by far, the most soothing to my spirit.
